Brittany Yates’ The Fundamental Journey of Entrepreneurship through Prayer

One of my goals this year is to read 12 new books. I started reading one book towards the end of the year, and I finished it just in time to mark it off my list.

Past PHREAdom Leader Brittany Yates, the founder of Endless Dreams Foundation, Inc. shared her experience in entrepreneurship and taking risks in her new book called The Fundamental Journey of Entrepreneurship through Prayer.

Entrepreneurship is about taking risks. Yates exposed herself transparently breaking down lessons she’s learned through her experience as an entrepreneur. The concept of The Fundamental Journey of Entrepreneurship through Prayer not only shares key information about starting a business, but also how God and one’s relationship with God can help to prepare individuals with achieving their goals.

I enjoyed reading the biblical connection in each chapter and how it related to building a business. For instance, one of my favorite chapters, “Are you a Visionary Entrepreneur or Opportunist Entrepreneur?” refers to the scripture from Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets.” Yates used the scripture to explain how important it is to set a clear vision for your business.

I also love the fact that the book is interactive. After each chapter, Yates included a task to be completed in either the notes section or in a separate notebook/journal. For instance, in another chapter, Yates instructed for individuals to write down a list of goals for one’s business. I found this part very useful because as an entrepreneur, I struggle with writing details for my venture, but Yates’ book provided the opportunity to jot down my vision and thoughts for Always PHREA. I have goals set and an idea of my vision thanks to this book.
